OCTOBER

OCTOBER

October was a wonderful month,

it is also one of mine and Laura's

most favorite months. More so

because of the changes that

occur with the leaves. So many

exciting things have happened.

The first exciting thing was a hello

form a long distant friend Dave.Dave was Doug's best man during
his wedding. He just finshed working
in China for the Olympics and just

got back from visiting Egypt, Israel

and a number of different places.

He currently lives in Washington D.C.

but came to Utah to visit. We decided

that the best way to catch up would

be at the

Scarecrow Festival

We had a great time catching up along with walking

around to see the different halloween activities.

October is also the time of year that

Laura and I will go up to Park City

for the Deaf Summit.

Laura has the priviledge to attend

many workshops that teach her

about American Sign Language

and the Interpreting profession.

I have the boring part

Lauras exciting part, she is about row fourteen

Dougs boring part (this was the part where
Iron man is fighting the bad guy..." BOOM")

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Now what October would be complete without having a halloween party to

go to. Plus a costume is manditory.

"You are correct Bob. Laura is wearing our
fashionable yellow belly cover with the matching

orange 'caution' sign. The baby also plays a large
role for her outfit.

"Our second place winner is . . . . . . "

"Yes Bob it is a man with a moustache"

Doug is following his theme of super
hero alter egos. this year he was Tony Stark also known as

IRON MAN
Laura and I also always try to find fun things to do every week on our date night. here is a
couple of things that we had fun with.

DATE NIGHT EXTRAVAGANZa

(Almost as cool as Laurapalooza day)

Laura had a great opportunity to learn how to make

homemade pasta. So for one of our date nights that

is what we did. We borrowed a pasta squisher from

Laura's dad and went at it.

We would then put it throug the machine

And it would come out looking like this. Crazy
overall but in the end it was very fun and we
enjoyed it a lot.
Our second activity was for a sunday dinner

with Lauras parents but still fun.

We made four dozen sugar cookies. Each

cookie was in a pumpkin design and we decorated

them with green icing.

If you try really hard you can see a cookie that

looks like me, oh and a ghost, Wheres Waldo, and

a hippo, all dressed up like a pumpkin cookie

THIS MONTH IN CAT REVIEW

Now we need a cat update. They are both

doing well. they found out what snow was

for the first time the other day and loved it!

They also found it to be very cold. Well

last time we told you about the dead fish

story. This time Luna thought she would

be brave and attack a bird, she was

not expecting for THEM to attack back.

While I was out there I counted 11

birds flying around Lunda. In my

picture above I circled seven that I

got in my picture. After I taught Luna

a poem. "birdy birdy in the sky dropped

some whitewash in my eye, me dont

worry, me dont cry, me just glad that

cows dont fly."
